There's just been a really huuuuge thunderstorm! To be fair I have seen a number of very impressive ones over the year, but although the view from my window is comparatively boring it does have the advantage that you don't have to worry about everything. Eesh I miss Africa too. Escpecially the thunderstorms. We had a couple which resulted in some very wet people in their tents - fortunately neither was me. Still. Don't worry, it won't get any better the longer you spend away from it. Just travel lots and that should help.
