Tell her two Aleve, then one more every eight hours. If that's not enough, go for the tylenol, but NOT the ibuprofen (bad overdose issues). And despite her pain, tell her to suck it up and go for a walk. It'll make it feel better. Trust me.
jill tried walking and it only made her nauseous in addition to the pain getting much worse. jill appriciates the empathy, sensitive-one-who-knows.
it is also to the best of jill's knowledge that mixing drugs, over-the-counter or not (such as, say, midol and aleve) is never a good idea and can prove more costly to jill's health in the long run.

I'm sorry, and I really do feel for her, but I guess I'm just a little jaded about it. I've had them bad enough to give me tunnel vision before, and eventually, you just have to shunt some of the pain aside and try and focus on one thing, even if that's just trying to fall asleep. It really sucks that they're that bad for her. If they're this bad next month, she should talk to her gyn. They've got some pretty good perscription drugs that help with them somewhat. In the meantime, if the Midol didn't help, she really should try the Aleve. Sometimes the different dosage/type of medication works better than what you usually take for cramps.

Yo, I have no idea what Jill is feeling (feel free to hate me, I know, I'm one of the lucky girls out there who feels pretty much the same all month), but I'm really sad that she's not happy, and I wish there was someone whose ass I could beatdown to fix the problem. Because I would. That being said, HAPPY BIRTHDAY tomorrow, Steph :) :)
