wow. this is amazing. just a display of how painful it is when one person is fully invested in a relationship while the other won't allow themselves to be. every stage of the relationship is full of this, from beginning to end, and your first/last lines demonstrate that perfectly. i cringed in every moment that cesc gave more of himself and iker held back, but i love how you show that the situation hurts both of them. the entire paragraph where cesc rearranges english words to try to be subtle about his feelings is pure genius. every single sentence. thank you for sharing.

I can relate with Iker right now. This fic is making me feel things I don't want to feel.

In a good way, no doubt, but it's so sweetly sad. I can't even describe how much I love this. The entire build up and how you wrote it from Iker's POV was so well done.

Iker shakes his head, says, “Maybe I’ve listened too much.” And that’s the problem, right? He’s feeling things he doesn’t want to be feeling.

Cesc coughs. And when he looks at Iker, it’s just -
