tim/cassie, tim/kon, cassie/kon

NOTE: This fic mentions Tim getting his new costume colors from Kon--that idea is *not* one I came up with. Both marag's fic I Sing What Was Lost and another which had Steph and Kon hanging out in the afterlife watching Tim self-destruct and which despite being positive I bookmarked, I can't find anywhere, dammit. Anyway, to give credit where credit ( Read more... )

This is awesome. I. Just. My poor little ex-YJers. The way those kids ended up breaking apart makes me so sad, but I can kind of see these two ending up clinging to each other, just because they're the last two, and they have Kon tying them together. It doesn't exactly make for the happiest fic ever, and man, if I'm not missing Kon a rather painful amount right now, but it's so worth it. Just, the realness of those two ending up... needing each other after what happened to Kon. So yeah, ow, but also *squeals with fannish joy* thank you for providing me with such good reading material ^__^

Wow, thank you for the wonderful review. I fell in love with these guys (esp. Kon) in YJ, so I have a very love/hate relationship with Geoff Johns for his Titans run. In light of recent canon events (see "Infinite Idiocy"--oops, I mean "Crisis") this about as happy a fic as I can write. And when I'm feeling sad, I try to spread the misery ;)

I had completely forgotten that I made this entry public--it didn't feel 'finished' to me somehow, so I never posted to to titans_together. I may now though, since you liked it--thanks!

So much....pain, love, hate, pure unadulterated raw emotions.
How can you express so many such things in words!

"There's nothing left to fight about, Tim. And there's no one left but us."

God! How much it hurts. I want to cuddle Tim and protect him from all the abuses he is getting from DC.

Thank you! I'm so glad this worked for you and that the emotions came across clearly enough.

Can I cuddle him with you?

I am good with sharing. We can form a shield around him.

It is very beautiful (and I really wouldn't have minded if it were canon, too, but alas...)

Thank you (yeah, writing for me is just rewriting what I wanted to see in canon) and thank you very much for the icon! It's awesome.

Beautiful. This line:

That was another thing that was clearer in retrospect.

just made me shake my head in despair a little, because TIMMY. We don't need Crises to break him; he breaks himself. :/

Thanks for the comment--and I'm glad you liked that line, it was one of the few I liked as well.

And yes, Tim is definitely self-destructive. He needs Kon, or at least Bart, back to pull him out of his gloom and make him smile again.

Holy shit. Can I just say--best reviewer ever? I posted this on a whim, I wasn't even really expecting comments, and then I check back and see this. I'm just... wide-eyed and smiling and laughing disbelievingly over here. This review is getting bookmarked for me to re-read whenever I start feeling gloomy about not being able to write as well as I want to. Wow. Thank you.

And oh, god, the commentary about the colors, SO perfect, and so painful... *winces in realization that she didn't give credit to other authors for that idea* Umm, oops? I'll just go fix that--much as I want to just bask in your praise instead ;)

Wow. You write action like it's just an easy part of the flow.. *awed* I'm trying not to giggle hysterically over here because I swear I totally don't, I suck at it, but damned if you aren't convincing me I need to start writing more so I can get better and earn that wonderful compliment.

What a gorgeous, agonizing, perfect depiction of what this has done to Tim. and also Oh, man. What that says about what it was ( ... )
