Post about it here.

Include as much detailed information as possible, including any error messages.

Let's try to get them hashed out, because I'd really love to shut down my tracker.

My newbie BT GUIDE. Please read over this before posting, as it will probably solve most problems, PARTICULARLY the section on changing ports ( Read more... )

Only problem I had, was that my port was blacklisted. I changed my NAT port to 7000 after that, which works fine. It's likely other people have the same thing happening to them, as the blacklisted port was the default port set by Azureus.

Do you use Azureus? You should go to Tools, Options, and then it's right there on the top, Incoming TCP/UDP listen port. Just change it 7000 and it should work fine.

I'm using uTorrent client but I have also tried with ABC. I've tried different ports but it ain't about it. I also download regularly from other password protected torrent-sites. I'm using Kerio Personall Firewall and I'm not behind NAT.

Are you able to go to TPB and sign in successfully?

Yes, I guess that goes without saying

Just for shits and giggles, disable your firewall and try it. I don't think it will make a difference, since it says it doesn't recognize your IP.

Are you going through a proxy server when browsing by any chance?

I downloaded that episode from pokerbay, and when I try to unrar it, winrar freezes.
Anyone got any suggestions?

I have a D-Link wireless router and my computer receives the connection through a USB adapter. The way my ISP set up the connection is through some dynamic IP thing through the cable modem (I have no idea what they did really). When I download from certain trackers, I'm never able to connect to any peers, and my upload speeds are disgusting. In general, my ratio is at about .2 to .4 even if I keep my computer on 24/7 due to my crappy upload speeds.

Not much you can do about your upload speed if it's capped, but I wouldn't worry about it.

How is downloading though? Are your speeds fine?

If not, try the part about switching the BT ports from the standard ones.

My download is fine, I can get 150-200kb/s if a torrent's well seeded. I just don't want to be banned from the tracker if my ratio isn't up to snuff.
