Pictures are not forthcoming
So, I attempted to load my pictures again, on a different computer but I'm still not having any luck. I can view my pictures on the screen but it won't let me upload them to the computer. My camera also is not giving me the option of transfering them manually. So, I don't know when you'll get to see pictures. Maybe when I come home, maybe

Do you mean that you can view the pictures on the camera screen or on the computer screen?
So plug in your camera and turn it on; sign on to gmail. Compose new mail. Cick "attach file". Click "browse". Get to "My Computer" by either clicking on said named icon the the left or from the drop-down menu near the top. There will probably be an A: a C: and a D: drive.
Your camera is a sony powershot, right? Look for something with a letter of D: E: F: or G: with a name like "SONYPWR300" or something. Or you could just try every one. If none of them are your camera, then you are out of luck. Some computers have USB mass storage disabled because of security reasons.
Once you find your camera, double click the picture you want. Send the email to blah2blog@flickr.com (or whatever the address that I set up was).
So this way the pictures are never actually on the computer you are using.
