Yes I am still alive.
Yes I overslept by an hour and a half this morning.
No I have not gotten a call from the South African Consulate to give me my visa back yet.
Yes I'm in a sort of down mood today.
Yes it's cloudy and grey.
Yes I already had a cup of tea.

Don't be glum! *Hugs.* Here is something silly to cheer you up: I had to spend half an hour this morning pretending, in front of about twenty people, to be the General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party. Decided to wear all pink as form of mute protest. So if you want something to make you laugh, picture Emma in a pink skirt saying things like, "While the Chinese government will try with greatest sincerity and effort to resolve the 'Taiwan question' through peaceful means, we utterly refuse to tolerate 'Taiwan independence' or to permit any person or power to intervene in what is strictly a matter of Chinese domestic policy or to delay the final unification of the motherland which is the heartfelt wish and common will of all 1.3 billion Chinese people."

EMMA!!! That is indeed an amusing thought! :) Picturing you as the General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party is a bit of a stretch of the imagination. ;) I hope you are doing well! I went out for dinner with Zander, Daniel, and Zander's friend Seth last night and afterwards we saw Mad Hot Ballroom. There was a preview for a movie version of Balzac and the Chinese Seamstress. I thought of you! Apparently it has won a fair number of awards. We should go see it when you come back (if it's out). :) Much love! and *BIG HUGS* to you too!
