Wow, that was brilliantly done. Most realistic portrayal of older!Ciel I've seen, and I like the way Lizzy aged as well. You've got everyone so in character!

Thank you very much! Most of my stories for this fandom tend to have an older!Ciel, just because I think it allows for more depth (and less creepiness) to the whole relationship aspect. :) It means a lot to me that you thought Lizzy was well-portrayed; I always want to be fair to her. ♥

You botched NOTHING. This is fantastic. I loved the non-sequiteur little list at the beginning, before the opium. I like the way you wound everything together and through and neatly explained everything that's been happening since we last saw Ciel. I like your take on an adult Lizzie (DAMN, everyone's mean to her) and I like how we got to see how very distracted and distressed Ciel was through your writing. Beautiful.

Thank you so much for your comment, it really made me smile! I was struggling with the opium dream-sequency parts, so if it turned out somewhat cohesive in the end, I'm glad. Distracted!Ciel is so pitiful, but oddly fun to write. 8D

I really enjoyed this. I like the way you portrayed all the characters. Lizzie gets such a bad rap in the fandom. Yes, she's a bit spoiled, but I don't think her mother would allow her to grow up to be a spoiled woman. That aside, I imagine Ciel would feel very exhausted and tired after years of dealing with the dirty work the Queen gives him and the constant power struggles with Sebastian.

I'm going to track down your other fics, I assume you posted them to this commmunity?

Thank you for the kind words. I agree, Lizzie does get a bad rap - she's far from my favorite character, but I feel that her presence is very central to who Ciel is, and can't just be ignored. I'm glad that the characters were well-portrayed, because there's always a concern of staying true to them when you shift the story out of its original setting.
