Nick wove his way through the crowd, smiling the boyish smile wise people had learned to be wary of. In his arms was a variety of things, none of which he intended to eat considering; these 'delicious' delicacies were intended for another.

Needless to say, Van Helsing would be hiding under his hat if it wasn't impolite to continue wearing it while indoors. He felt out of place, to say the least, awkwardly dressed and nervous on top of that. That doesn't even take into account the fact that Nick left him sitting alone at the table for who-knows-how-long.

He might not have minded so much, but people were staring at him. Why was everyone staring at him? He's not sure he'll ask Nick when he gets back, but he'll definitely be sending the man a severe glare.

He placed the tray down in front of Van Helsing, smiling brightly at the other man in spite of his foul mood.

"All done, and all served. Go on. This is all for you."

He continues to glower at Nick. It's a common occurrence, Nick's probably used to it.

The enormous pile of food in front of him gets a similarly disgruntled stare.

"Am I expected to eat all of that?" he asks, clearly not amused by the potential of that prospect.

Nick shrugged, not particularly bothered by the glare or the idea of wasting a bit of food. LaCroix's glares held considerably more weight to him, and he'd always been a nobleman, so the waste of food was practically standard.

"You have to try one of each."
