I reached a goal yesterday in Crossfit, and that was benching my bodyweight (190 lbs). My next goal is 210 by the middle of November. I know benching isn't really a Crossfit functional movement, but it does seem to be a "bench"mark for a lot of people. To say I bench my bodyweight is a proud thing to say.
We did the crossfit total on Saturday, which is a much better benchmark.
3 exercises and you get 3 attempts at your max.
Back Squat strict shoulder press (no momentum) deadlift.
I am deadlifting about 1.5x my body weight which is awesome for me! (I only weigh 115). My shoulders are super wimpy. My strict press is only at about 60lbs my back squat was 125, which could be better but I am not disappointed. :)
I want to work on clean and jerks, but have not had the opportunity yet. They have started an "advanced" class up here, so I am hoping that we can work on some different types of lifts that we normally don't do, due to class size and too many newbies.
