two weeks later...
clea is doing *great*!! that vet was an idiot! i took her in to see her regular vet, dr. polumbo, a few days later for a second opinion on the xrays and what i thought was an alarmingly high dosage of prednisone. clea got much better over the weekend, other than some nasty side effects from the pred, so i wanted to have her in for a recheck with a ( Read more... ) -
update on clea
on the inside, clea is not doing well. her blood calcium levels have gone off the charts. we're doing what we can with fluids and steroids, and she's now on a completely holistic diet for what that's worth (and it's worth more than some people give it credit, that's for sure). xrays show that something is pressing down on her colon, but the vet ( Read more... ) -
clea's diagnosis
for those of you who don't know about this yet, our dog clea had surgery on the 3rd to remove a tumor from her rear end. this ugly thing had grown to be the size of a quarter machine bouncy ball in less than 3 weeks. we found out about it that tueday, by friday it was removed. we had it sent out for a biopsy, and we got the results yesterday ( Read more... ) -

okay, i know that several of our friends are interested in the idea of building an intentional community, but how many of you would be willing to dedicate some time in making this dream a reality? there would be a LOT of planning involved, so it would be nice to get started on this as soon as possible ( Read more... ) -

someone please remind me why we moved here.
don't get me wrong, i'm not regretting it, and i do know why we're here, i guess i'm just feeling discouraged right now. there's like two feet of snow out there, which i love, but i'm missing my friends, and i can't exactly visit them when i can barely drive to the end of my street.
