So there is this video that's going around on the Internet. Perhaps you've seen it (and if you haven't, I advise you to watch it first: http://youtube.com/watch?v=S3X1K93ff5I).

Now, assuming you've watched it, or heard about it or are somewhat familiar with it, I am going to continue on what will be a tirade, yes tirade, against it and what it means ( Read more... )

I couldn't finish watching it, a) too long and I have lunch soon b) it pissed me off as well. I think they aim for the "typical" Americans. Does it ever consider it that some people may have answered right? NO! At least I didn't see any. Honestly, the creators are a fucking joke. Or are they? Here we are pissed off at these foreigners, when doesn't Jay Leno, AN AMERICAN, do it as well?

So is it okay for an American to do this, and not a foreigner? Just as most would say it's okay for a black man to call another black man "nigga", but it's not okay for any other race?

Yes, it's funny to an extent. But this is not proof of a nation's stupidity. Perhaps the real stupidity lies with those who chose to create this, because having a scapegoat tends to make everyone else feel better about themselves.

Yes, I've seen the video with Jay Leno and that got me equally as pissed. Of course, it doesn't affect him really--no one is going to call him stupid--but it affects us "lowly people" who don't have the advantage of being a talk show host.

People should honestly think about what kind of image they're portraying to the world when they make videos like these.
