I feel you there man. :| I didn't want to comment on that post, since I wouldn't have added anything new to the discussion, but it just sucks. Getting stuff shipped to Australia cost enough already, but now that this price hike is a thing, it looks like my purchases will significantly decrease from now on. WHICH IS PRETTY DISAPPOINT.
Yeah, I know. Most of my purchases in the more recent months are either from Japan PokeCen pick ups, pre-orders from Ami Ami (and occasionally Y!J) but still I do occasionally get a few figures here and there mainly from US sellers (sometimes only one) and now...
But you know this does not only affect sales. This is also going to severely affect GAs and GBs and only those of us in Asia won't have crazy high shipping prices but as you know, most comm members are located in the US...
I'm really mad about the international price hikes too. About a third of my customers (on ebay and the comm) are from outside the US. I'm going to try and make a big sales update before the new rules go into effect, because I'm sure I'll lose a lot of business from international members after the price hikes.
And this doesn't even take things like group auctions into account.
I don't even want to start with GAs and GBs. It's possible we'll end up seeing lesser of those, unless those of us in Asia are the ones that does the bidding and shipping, but even then that is only feasible for lots at Y!J. US people will still have to GA/GB Ebay lots located in the US because that would go into the realm of international shipping from US to Asia back to...US? but really, ugh. I'm definitely gonna be buying less from US sellers and many other people will likely follow suit, unless they're desperate enough. Not everyone wants to pay high shipping prices. This will really affect both sides very badly. Seriously USPS, WTF are they doing???
