I confess that I have only considered green gems since your favorite color is green. Some say that turquoise enhances empathy. People need empathy so that they can understand one another better. :)

Not helping, but I got a Jade vibe. According to the stamp description, this stone is associated with peace, stability, and understanding. You just strike me as a peaceful person. And you described yourself as "the calm, cool collected one who offers advice", which suggests stability. Plus, you would life for people to better understand each other.
....And it's green ;)

I like the vote for Aventurine also. It's best suited for you. You listed qualities that stress you are creative, artistic and imaginative, but at the same time you opt for peace and serenity with some independence.
