wandered around town today and went to one of my favorite hang outs, a coffee shop called Zocalo downtown. A local girl named Amber was performing, we'd caught her a week ago at the Ganja fest..opps the 'Bikes to someplace' charity thing. I love live acts, and she's got a very cool style, sort of like Dylon and Jewel, but a bit more rambling.

If you start doing open mike, be sure to let us know well in advance. I will have to wrangle someone to take me up to see you play. I miss hearing you make music almost as much as I miss making music wiht you.

There is also a guitarist that the next time he makes to to Victoria, you have to get yourself down here so we can go see him. Kelly Jo Phelps. The only solo artist who has ever managed to speak so deeply to me that when he takes a break I feel like I've have broken out of a trance. HIs playing just pours forth like water and grabs you. He does amazing Blues. I think that you loved love him

I'll be ya $5 that he comes here more often than Victoria. The local places here get some of the most amazing performers I've ever seen. It's another of the strange things about this place that I'm starting to like.

I really miss our singing together, I was pretty pleased to see a post a month or two back, from Jenn saying she wanted to get singing again, but I guess she's having trouble with her meds again. I'm major happy to see Heather going out and performing, maybe her band could get booked at Joes Garage up here...of course they'd outnumber the crowd at the show, but it would be appreciated nonetheless.
