It began as a jest several years ago. Friends and I were discussing personal sexuality, and someone stated that they were 'bi.' I replied that they were 'greedy.' My reasoning for tagging them as such was that if one is straight, they may seek a partner of the opposite gender. If one is gay, they may seek a partner of the same gender. If one is bi, they may seek a partner of either gender, and, in my personal experience, have been more open to the idea of polyamourous relationships. Mind you, I was dating the young woman making that statement at the time, and she agreed with me whole-heartedly that she was, in fact, 'greedy.'

I have several friends who are bi/greedy. They know it is meant to tease them about their sexual preference, not mock or ridicule it. My approach to life is a very old one: "So long as it harms none, do as thou will." If you can find someone who can add contentment to your life, and have a healthy sex life with them as a bonus, then I salute you.

It's more than I've been able to do in this incarnation.
