News via metafandom: rydra_wong reports that a member of LiveJournal's Abuse Team has stated that linking to offsite material that LiveJournal considers to be a violation of its terms of service can get you suspended. Not good at all. However, at this point, I'm getting so fed up that I will risk suspension. (Plus, I'm gradually shifting my activities to GJ and IJ anyway.)

Well, that's just stupid. I once got in trouble on a forum for linking to some photographs of a guy with an axe in his head (his wife caught him cheating. he survived). Anyways...no one MAKES you click on a link. It's completely up to the user. If you preface the link with "This is a link to blah, blah, blah", why should the Abuse(r of) Team(s) care what you're linking to?

It's hard for me to see how a link could make LiveJournal legally liable. I hope that LiveJournal says more on this topic.
