"Weekend" To Do List - April 26 & 27

I took tomorrow off so that I would have two days off in a row, and would be able to get stuff done without stressing out completely since I'm losing half of my day to the tournament on Saturday. Which is awesome and exciting but time-consuming, and I wouldn't want to have to try and do all of my chores and errands in one afternoon. Plus this ( Read more... )

Thank you!

And this week it was knee vs. knee. Her is fine. Mine is a spectacular shade of purple. I should take a picture.

I've found I get far less injured in class than I do in tournaments. I had a few knee/knee crashes last night, but most of them were on purpose because I was practicing a technique that uses the knee to block (it was a better idea than sticking my left toe anywhere near people, and it reminded me not to use a roundhouse). Yes you should take pictures! Document those bruises. *grins*

My toe has gone backwards in its recovery from last weekend. It has no visible bruising, but oh holy CRAP does it ever hurt now. After tournament class tonight I may take a several days necessary break.

Your toe sounds a bit like my elbow, although mine was a injury caused by over-rotation (to the point where it popped/snapped, and OW) and not impact. But there was no swelling or anything, and it seemed to be getting better, then it got worse again.

Actually, it sounds a bit like my thumb, too, although I think that's kind of mostly healed now? Maybe?

Blocking with my knee/shin is something that seems to come fairly naturally to me. I would definitely be interested to learn this cut kick, because if I could turn what I do all the time anyway into an offensive tactic, that would be awesome!

And I'm planning to do a pre-tournament TKD post later today, so I'll take a picture and include it there. It really is quite spectacular.
