I have always, always hated talking about myself. While I was interviewing for my current job I found it was SO difficult to say how wonderful I was, and how awesome of I fit I would be for the company. I sometimes think that if I published everything I've written on LJ in the order that the events happened (as opposed to the order in which I wrote them), I'd actually have about 60% of an autobiography. This is somewhat disturbing to me. Hmm.

The reasons behind your father leaving can be a great story in itself, even if you don't know the details... make em up. I mean... the best memoirs are the ones that sell the world the writer wants us to know.
