He wobbles there, dangerously, red hair creating an impressive glint when combined with the light of the sun. It is a nice day out - the weather in Hod would have been fabulous around this time of year. Guy grits his teeth into a smile.
"If you can stand, you can walk," he says, shortly. "The principle of balance is universal: if you fluctuate your equiliberal center against the force of the leg you're putting forward, you should be able to stay upright."
He's fifteen. Luke is ten (no, three). The boy stares at him, dumbly, perhaps wondering if the difficult words are somehow revenge for his stubborness about the fonic alphabet. Guy shrugs, and finds that he can't really be angry anymore.

She smacks him for the comment regarding "a goddess of war", however.
She visits one day in the fall, when the leaves have just begun to change and there is a chill hidden under the calm blow of the wind. She has to visit, because otherwise, they will never see each other, and really, it's strange that the fon Fabre family would guard Luke so heavily, when even Natalia, heir to Kimlasca, is allowed at least some freedom to come and go as she pleases. He grumbles this to her as she comes through the gate with her escort
