I suspect most of those people end up on the ship by accident, actually, instead of being picked for the crew. I mean, a doctor who's not prepared for the job, with insufficient supplies; a lieutenant who's not experienced enough for the command; a party girl - doesn't sound like a crew even the SGC would pick to man an exploration ship. I suspect they're on board by coincidence when the thing happens that stops the ship from going home. Or otherwise it's a huge ship with a thousand-man-crew, and all the useful people get killed in an accident.

"Calm down, you anal retentive freak," Rodney said, fiddling with the drawer that wouldn't open for some reason.

"I have a penis!" John pushed down the blanket and showed him. He motioned at his dick with a sense of desperation.

Rodney looked at him like the crazy person he was. "I just need a paperclip. I can't believe you don't have even one."

John sprung off the bed just as Rodney managed to open the drawer, which was filled with -

I haven't watched the new ep because it looks really boring. I'll probably watch this week's (which also looks boring) and last week's together on Saturday or Sunday. I think the ep could only interest me if it starred John Sheppard, Wraith Queen.
