Thank god for the anonymousness of the Inception kink-meme. I'm pretty sure there are prompts more embarrassed-giggle producing than mine, but I've just popped my prompt leaving cherry. FOUR TIMES

re: the warehouse thing. SO ANNOYING. i can't believe the warehouse thing is still going strong. wait, i wrote a meta post on this a while back, just let me find it....
oh thank god, I thought I was missing some line in the movie, were Arthur explained the importance of a geographically awkward location, the many hiding spots for spies and the lack of electricity made for the best super secret clubhouse.
In the upcoming epic by moi, they will be someplace sensible -- of course, it's also a crossover with the OC, so tacky mansions for all?
I'm in an Inception RPG, and the Paris bits are in the warehouse, but every other team uses normal things. We have it set up in a nice-ish area, where they walk to an from at night. It's more an office building than a random effing warehouse.
My point man has a farm in Spain she's owned for years and she's friendly with the neighbors.
And I think the third team is working on a flat somewhere so that they all "live there". So yes. The Warehouse.
One day, I would like a fic where 'The Warehouse' is actually the name of a grand old mansion.
Re: night access in your RPG - very important for transportation - can you imagine calling a cab? 'yes, I'm in the desolate, run-down warehouse at the edge of town...no, I'm not going to kill you! Just come! Alone!'
SERIOUSLY. Ksenia (my pointman) gets a cab all the time. Her apartment is definitely not near the arrondissment where the office is. But she's leaving the main team soon and branching off with some others, so back to the farm in Spain! But we've still placed it in a...nicer area of Paris and not the back alleys where the Jacques l'Éventreur shows up regularly.
And I have no idea if you speak any French, so that's Jack the Ripper. Just FYI. I'd be all 'buzzuh' if someone said that to me and I didn't speak the language.

Cobbian-squint sounds like a math concept, or some sort of bird.
