I know.  This is a problem.  I wander off (usually to the couch) and not post.  Really need to remedy that.

Anyway.

The big news, which I'm sure has trickled down by now: I'm married.

Yes.  Me.  Married.

Cringe in terror.

Seriously, I'm happy.  I found the One, and got over my stupid self and fears of commitment (and fears in general).  Still weird as ( Read more... )

We had planned on getting married in June. With the way the military works, if he was to get PCS orders, the only way I could go with him was if we were married. And since we are already living together, it was just easier to go ahead and get it out of the way so we could get me processed into the base before he got orders or anything. And it was extremely important to me that my friend Nate be there. And since Nate was PCSing to South Dakota the first of July, we had to get things rolling.

hahah and it wasn't necessarily a quick jump. We've been together over a year, living together for 10 months as it is :D

That's fine and all - and I see you are already doing your wifely duty of answering questions for your husband.

FYI - I do have an idea of how the military works, however I didn't have the details about your friend and I didn't realize that Alan was up for getting new orders already.

Wasn't aware it was a wifely duty. Alan is on exercise this weekend, so would probably be too tired to answer. So I thought I would go ahead and respond.

Alan has been stationed at Dyess for 3 years. There is no set time he is "up" for orders. However, we are trying to get orders out of Dyess.
