At a used book store, I purchase a copy of Invisible Man. As I take out my gold American Express card paid for by my parents, I notice the cashier is black. I then put that card back and take out my student Visa card that I pay for. -

Of course, all the talk about the New Yorker issue will be trumped by its cover, which has everyone buzzing. It seems the Daily News has come out with a fake controversy here. Way to go, Daily News, when you're getting beat by the Post to journalistic responisibility, that's an accomplishment -

Vermont
Right now I'm in southwest Vermont, one of my favorite places to be in the summer. I am in Greensprings, a housing unit outside Mount Snow and a town called West Dover, a rented housing unit that costs significantly more in skiing season. No more comparisons of Scav to the Holocaust...yet
Scav is supposed to be fun, so why is it making me full of nervousness and anger?
Maybe it's the surprisingly high scav brass:people with whom i have longstanding feuds/resentment/spite ratio? (And, to a lesser extent, Snitchcock in general)
