Ethan had his face buried in a file, going over some notes from his meeting with Nathan. He had a ton of stuff to do coming up, and he was feeling a bit overwhelmed. The fact that he had Simon occupying most of his brain didn't help, either. He tapped a pen against his bottom lip and did a small double-take when he saw his young lover walking down

Simon glanced at Ethan and flashed a shy smile, a blush tinting his cheeks. He walked past him and opened the door of his father's office. He liked visiting Dad at work. It made him feel a part of things. He learned so much. He looked at Ethan again before slipping inside and shutting the door behind him.

Ethan gave a small pout. Okay, he shouldn't have assumed that Simon was here to see him. No worries. He gave them a few minutes to chat and then went to Nathan's office, peeking in. "Excuse me sir, sorry to bother you. Hi Simon." He waved. "Nathan your two o'clock meeting will be here soon, and they're waiting for you in the conference room." Only because Ethan had hurried them along...

"Thank you, Ethan," Nathan said with a smile. He clapped his son on the shoulder. "Best assistant I've ever had," he said. "Ethan, why don't you show Simon around some while I'm busy?" Simon knew the place backwards and forwards, of course, but it'd keep him occupied until he could visit with him, and he didn't want to hurry his boy away.

Simon lowered his eyes, trying hard not to seem nervous or uncomfortable or embarrassed or any of the emotions that swirled around him whenever Ethan was there. "Thanks," he said softly.

"Will do." Ethan held the door open for Nathan. "There is a cup of black coffee waiting for you in the conference room, along with a fresh pot. Julie will refill you as you need it. Oh and I typed up the agenda and put it in your folder so that you know what topics they're going to cover."
