Over ten years ago, I dove headfirst into my first big fandom, The Lord of the Rings, after the release of the movies. I'd read and loved the books for years at that point, but the movies really exploded the fandom on the interwebs. I also got my first experience of forum roleplaying on LOTR Fanatics Plaza, where the name 'Etharei' was born

I loved doing that Hobbit Names essay! It was so much fun to do the research. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

All's going well more or less; I am still chugging along in my hobbit-fandom and I daresay will continue that to the end of my days.

Dare I hope that "To Follow an Elf" will ever get dusted off? Even if it isn't, I still love it.

The Shire is a mighty comfortable place to live in, so it's totally understandable :D I would like to think I will always come back, even if I wander away for a time.

I'm definitely getting a hankering to finish TFAE. I won't post until it's done, but seeing as we'll actually be getting Mirkwood on film, seems a shame not to finish writing about it. It touches my heart that you've not forgotten that fic after all this time, thank you ♥

I'm just glad you're somewhere and happy, be it Pittsburgh or Middle Earth or where ever. That you are writing is what's important. Oh and, I love your journal style, very clean and elegant.
