If you end up paying, its tax deductible, anyway.

There's no reason not to be registered.

I registered in college, over 10 years ago. I've never been called. I understand the need is especially acute for minority and mixed-race donors.

I never heard back from my recipient. Two months ago I got the 6-month update from the donor coordinator saying that he's been moved out of the hospital and is doing fine, but his choosing not only to remain anonymous but to not send any sort of note seems odd to me. Obviously, it's entirely his choice whether or not he wants to send anything, and I expect nothing, but still...

Thanks for the tip about the marrow drive- I'll spread the word on that as best I can.

Thank you. I'd not joined previous marrow drives because I have a thyroid condn (though pretty damn minor) that is an autoimmune dz and I assumed I wouldn't be eligible... however, registering online meant I could read the fine print and discover that I AM eligible.

That's a long-winded way of saying thank you, I appreciate the PSA!
