Alas, superscalar ARM cores have been a dream for well over a decade, now.

Doesn't Cortex provide some of this, at the expense of no longer being an ARM in most recognisable ways? They're certainly meant to have SMP as an option, and the simple addition of an L2 cache made a huge performance difference.

If you fancy a quick but violent session of vomitting, look up Thumb2.
