No writings, but a drawing ;)

Dec 31, 2004 22:13

I actually wanted to write a bit during my holidays, but I was lazy, and the plot bunnies were sleeping happily in my lap. So I decided to put out my drawing pencils once more. One of the things I've sketched was - what a surprise! :p - a certain hobbit. ;)

Hope you'll enjoy! :)

I have often wished that I could see the "Frodo" of other people... their own picture of Frodo from the books. Even though yours is "hybrid" of movie and your book imagination, it still gives me a glimpse.

You have definitely captured the feeling of reflection, loss and resignation that I think he had during that time-frame.

Thank you for posting this!

I'm very happy that you say this. It's exactly what I wanted to express, and I'm glad that the drawing obviously "works". Thank you so much fro -- err -- for your lovely comment.

And "hybrid" is a very appropriate word here indeed! ;D

*hugs you* :)

VERY nice. I can't draw at ALL, and really admire when other folks can put their imaginations on the page for us to admire.

A happy New Year to you, my dear! I hope it is fortunate and full of lucky days. And there is a light at the end of even the darkest tunnel. Patience...

Awww... Frodo. Yes, that's a post-quest Frodo I like. I especially love the way you drew his eyes. <3

Oh, I'm so happy you like the drawing! I tried to make his eyes very expressive and melancholy, and I'm glad it obviously worked. :D

Btw, the beautiful bookmark you sent me has found its place in a certain "fat" book which I plan to re-read before I'll have a go at my "books to read"-list. :D

*snuggles you so tight you nearly can't breathe*

Oh yes, Frodo's eyes are great. They look sad, like they've seen too much, and at the same time full of pity. That's Frodo how I love him :D

I'm glad the bookmark found such a great place. Said fat book is looking at me, as well, and begs for reread. I think I can't deny it for too long ;)

*gasps for breath, but huggles you tightly back*

Ah, those insistent fat books, eh? I wonder who made me order that one. ;) *cackles*

I'm still blushing about your compliments on my drawing...

*snuggles you and tries to be not too fiercely this time, to not knock out your breath again* ;)
