One of my LOTR fanfics, "Birdsong", has been published on belegcuthalion's brilliant German LOTR fanfiction archive . *bounces happily*

I've translated this fic into German a week or two ago, and dear Mona gave me some very useful suggestions later on. Thank you so much, dear! It's such an honour for me to have a fic of mine on your beautiful site!

This is not meant derogatory. It's just interesting to see it. The funny thing is that I know this from drawing, but not from writing. Painting teachers would always encourage me to draw a lot of versions of one and the same theme, until I found that I got it.

Well, I definitely have written a lot of stuff on this particular issue, though they are never alike. ;) I just write what comes to my mind, rather than plotting for a long time before writing a story. :)

Yes. I usually try to write fanfic in English, so that more people can read it. This one I have translated into German for Mona's site. :)

Very nice story. It's so full of care and relief about being over the worst. Your Elrond is truly a healer and has a lot of understanding especially for Frodos psychical status.

Das fiel mir noch auf: müsste nicht ein weiterer Absatz kursiv sein, wenn der kursive Text die Rückschau auf die Aussprache mit Elrond ist? Ansonsten steht irgendwo noch traumhafr und "&Mac226;Morgul'.

Danke für dein liebes Feedback! Es war schon merkwürdig, eine Story von mir ins Deutsche zu übersetzen... ich bin so an Englisch gewöhnt, wenn es um Fanfic geht. Aber es macht definitiv Spaß. :)

I just read your lovely comment to my story and followed the link to the german fic-archive... well, what can I say, your story is beautifully written! And sad, too, because we all know that there won't be a return to the Shire for a long time...
So, I'm going to check all the other stories there and thank you for showing me this!
