Nighttime nuptials for Kidman and Urban? ...
Is Nicole Kidman planning to make that long walk down the aisle guided by little more than the shining beacon that is Keith Urban's golden highlighted coiffure? Australia's Daily Telegraph reports the preternaturally wrinkle-free Oscar winner and the product-loving country crooner may be contemplating a nighttime vow-swap in an effort to foil prying paparazzi.
The nuptials are supposedly set to take place on June 25 at a chapel in Kidman's native Sydney at 6:30 p.m., a photo-unfriendly 90 minutes after sunset. The paper says the time of the ceremony came to light when wedding planners phoned a local helicopter rental company last week.
"We did get a call from them," confirms a company staffer. "They were concerned about what access the paparazzi could get."
Turns out an evening wedding could cut down considerably on overhead chopper whirring as there are stricter air traffic rules once the sun goes down.
"It's going to make things difficult for the paparazzi," a Civil Aviation Safety Authority spokesman explains to the paper.
And Kidman, who last year sought restraining orders against two Sydney shutterbugs, may be trying to make things even tougher for meddlesome media types.
The London Mirror says she's shelled out $300,000 to rent "every available" helicopter in town to prevent photographers from nabbing unauthorized snaps or drowning out her "I dos," a problem that famously plagued the 1985 wedding of Madonna and Sean Penn.
But is the privacy-craving pair so determined to maintain a cone of silence around their purported plans they're also keeping their guests in the dark?
According to the Telegraph, Nicole and Keith, perhaps heeding the cautionary tale that is the Britney Spears-Kevin Federline wedding invite on eBay (bidding is currently over $2,000), have decided not to send hard-copy invitations, preferring instead to make first contact over email, with a follow-up personal phone call.
Those invited to share their happy day are purportedly clueless as to where the still-unconfirmed ceremony and reception will take place. Of course, the secrecy shouldn't prove too much of an inconvenience: The paper says guests have been informed they'll be fetched from home by limo.
Meanwhile, the tight-lipped, too blond twosome isn't just dealing with rumors on the personal front. In a report we urge you to take with a heaping boulder of salt, the London Sun claims Kidman is attempting to get her fiancé cast opposite her in a still-untitled mega-budget, Aussie-set romantic epic from her "Moulin Rouge" director, Baz Luhrmann.
"Nicole thinks he would be perfect for the role and that their real-life magic would jump onto the screen," a mole tells the tab.
(You know, just like the hocus-pocus she conjured up with ex-hubby Tom Cruise is "Days of Thunder" and "Eyes Wide Shut." Oh, wait ...)
Kidman is purportedly eager to launch Urban's big screen career because "she's dreading being away from him during a six-month shoot in the outback."
Keith is said to have honed his thespian chops during a teenage stint with a drama club, experience not quite up to the level of Oscar nominee Heath Ledger, who reportedly turned down the role, and Oscar winner Russell Crowe, who was dropped from the project, ostensibly because he demanded script approval, although he denies meddling in the creative process.

Wow. It's amazing what lengths the paparazzi may go to get shots of Nic's wedding. Then again, I'd love to see Nic's gown. But still... she confirmed the engagement, will they *ever* calm down?
