I believe I heard something about The Hunger Games through an article listing books to try now that the Harry Potter series is complete. Lenny Kravitz is an odd choice, but the casting has been very interesting so far, and I have high hopes for the movie, especially with Collins writing the screenplay (she came from TV, so she knows her screenwriting).

I loved the books too, unsurprisingly.

HOLY MOLY SOMEHOW I MISSED YOUR ORIGINAL HUNGER GAMES POST. Or maybe forgot about it. But YES. To all of your review. (And I too have a weakness for dystopian fiction, so I was probably predisposed to like these books as well.)

The Lenny Kravitz thing bothers me because Cinna is my favorite character after Katniss and Peeta. I really hope they do him justice.

I'm definitely keeping an open mind about Lenny Kravitz, but it still seems like a really odd choice to me. I just hope they do Cinna justice... he's my favorite character after Katniss and Peeta.
