I googled the word "cisgender", wondering how many hits I would get. (15,200, in case you were curious.) The third result down leads here.

Now, I myself like the word "cisgender", because it creates a level playing field, much like the term "heterosexual" when used in opposition to "homosexual". The author of the blog article to which I have linked

I had the burning (like Chlamydia when you urinate) urge to call the author cisgendered after reading the post. Call me a jerk but at least I'm a cute jerk.

I completely agree with your post, and I find the cisgendered (haha!) author very offense when she said: "It does not come from us, as its origins are from a trans perspective, a person said to be a man," -- the "said to be a man" part made me experience a little twitch. She's really quite rude,

If I remember correctly, she had closed comments on that post... perhaps because of people like us...
