Xan was in the galley watching the people working on it. She walked over to the the two men. "I haven't seen you around here before, are you enjoying watching the renovation of my Galley?" She began to ramble. "Well, it isn't MY galley per say, but I am the chef therefore I do cook in it." She wiped the sweat off of her face with her scarf that was just seconds ago tied around her hair to keep it out of her eyes while working, she had a bit of paint on her nose and cheeks which was smeared thinly. "We're almost done, thank goodness...I was getting rather desperate for a warm bath and I need to get my quarters cleaned as well!" Xan bumbled about for a couple seconds. "Eeek, sorry...I was too busy babbleing and didn't catch your names. I'm Xan!"
Iden cocked an eyebrow, and flicked one finger over a spot of dust on the lapel of his jacket with a sneer.
"You did not catch my name because I did not give it. I am Iden Truax, and this is my personal assistant Mister Sirrus Argen." his voice was flat, and he did not look at her, so much as he looked through her. He really hoped that this mess would be cleaned up soon, his shoes were positively filthy. Just then, his mind hitched on a part of her unfathomably bouncy speech, and he turned his head to the side, regarding her with all the curiosity of a parent trying to figure out what it is that their child has just drawn for the refridgerator.
"Your quarters, ma'am? I was not aware that cooks received their own quarters." he said, rather matter-of-factly. His large, kohl dusted blue eyes wandered the galley listlessly, and he heaved a heavy sigh, finally letting his gaze settle on the wolf girl and her bundle of energy.
Sirrus put his hand on Iden's shoulder to still him. Granted he fully agreed but now was not the time to offend the woman who was making Idens food. INfact it was usually best to keep them in good spirits.
He adjusted the specticals on the bridge of his nose and then cleared his throat.
"Sir.. perhaps we should see to getting your things to your room"
"Right you are, Sirrus, right you are." Iden clicked his tongue a little, for effect, and turned on his heel without so much as bidding the wolf girl a good day. The two men disappeared back up the stairs and out onto the deck, into the sunlight and the dust and the noise. Iden then allowed Sirrus to take the lead, as he was not as familiar with the layout of the ship as his assistant was, just yet. Soon enough.
(I tried to leave this open for Xan to reply again, but that's obviously not going to happen, soooo they're back up on deck. If anyone wants to reply, go right ahead. If not, that's fine too.)
