((Ooohkay... so.. the ship has to launch we all know the truth of it. I'm going to start up a galley post and see if we can't get everyone back on the ship. I'll account for all of mine and hopefully we can get this popstand a movin' *smile*))Jamie walked up on to the deck and looked around. The workers were all gone now and sirrus altho as tight ( Read more... )

Vivien awoke from her pain free sleep by the noise of the crew getting the last tid bits ready. Sighing she sat up a little bit and looked around with hazy swollen eyes. Pulling her shirt back down into place and tossing the now melted bags of ice toward the end of her bunk she spotted Jamie. Pushing her hair over her cut and bruised face she called over to him.

"Hello there, long time no see. Are we leaving port soon, sure sounds like it with all the people running about."

"Yes, in fact, we are." Iden chimed in, from the doorway to the bunks. He'd been coming up from his talk with Ignatious, still exploring the ship a little, checking out the galley, when he overheard Vivien ask the question. He felt fully qualified to answer.

"The workers have finished, it is all up to our Captain, now." he added, straightening the lay of his jacket, looking Vivien over. Certainly, there were quite a few females on board, which shocked him just a bit.

"I am Iden Truax, and you are?" he asked, advancing and extending his hand to her. His eyes caught a quick sight of Jamie and he turned his head to the side, giving the man a silent greeting with a smile.

"Sorry, names Vivien Anu, new to the ship"

She stood slowly, hiding a wince, and reached out and shake the mans hand, making sure to keep her claws from touching him.

"Ill be glad once we are away from port. Be nice to be out in the open again."

"Ahh, Vivien. Lovely name. In my language, your name would translate to Osellë, which means harp. Quite lovely." he purred, the corners of his lips turning up ever so slightly into a cheshire smile.

"Getting out of this port will do all some good, I think. This will be my first time spacing, it's quite exciting. Though, I confess, I may need someone to show me the ropes..." he winked at her. To anyone else, it may have looked like he was flirting, but he really had no interest in her. He had interest in Jamie. But still, if a female was around, Iden just could not turn it off. Often, he did not even realize he did it.

Jamie nodded he had no appologies he was in a shitty mood. He pushed his hands in to his pockets and walked twards the front of the ship.. no better place to start he reasoned. His hair in his eyes as he walked past a few more workers and some of the other people.

"What exactly is your assignment viv? you look like a rigger but.. I could be wrong.."

"I was a rigger on a majority of the ships I have been on, butI was given no direct assignment. Just general crew. I can do whatever is needed and whatever hasnt been filled."

She glarred at the light and wished she had grabbed her glasses, to late now. She follwed the men with very little words and only answered questions when directly asked. Everyone seemed in bad spirts today...seemed they all just wanted to leave port.

"you'll have to talk to tag to find out that. Shin's pretty sound on the rigging you might watch out for him tho... you never know where that cats gonna drop down from"

Jamie looked at Iden and then made motion twards the helm.

The helm. Ah, yes. The "steering wheel" according to the incompetant worker who had given him the tour earlier. What a joker.

"Oh, what a lovely view one must have from here!" Iden chirped, stepping up near the helm, behind Jamie. Vivien seemed less than thrilled to be out and about, and that gave Iden all the more reason to prolong the tour. He did not take well to moping, at least not without damn good reason.

"Speaking of the helm, which only I have done, I met the helmsman today. Rather large really, very intimidating. I suppose that would come in handy in certain situations."

"Perhaps this will be your ship of dreams, then. I have traveled for many years without finding another from my planet, because Ärgans generally believe that their planet is the center of the universe and therefore have no need to see anything else. But I have been affiliated with this ship for hardly a week and already I have found another Ärgan, on this very crew, no less ( ... )

"Well if you have found another of your kind maybe this ship will find me another of mine, not that I know what I would say. I guess more then anything its to know im not the only one not left on the damned planet slash jail." Sighing she took another drag from her almost forgotten cigarette, closing her eyes and enjoying the taste.

"I dont know much of my species either, all I know Ive learned from history books and those are never accurate in my opinion. I would like to think my parents were adventures, but alas Ill never know."

Pulling her hair back over her face and scar she prepared to head up to the deck. She wanted as many of her bruises covered as possible. She didnt want anyone to take it easy on her. She would pull her own weight.

"I know more than enough of my own, unfortunately." Iden grumbled, making a mental note to have Sirrus check out this young woman's background. He did not want to know, but she might like to know at some point, and he had access to the best source of information this side of...well...almost anything. Sirrus could find anything on anyone, it seemed. And he could cover it up just as easily.

"Well, on the off chance that Jamie was not merely lying to us to get out of there, we should perhaps hit the decks. Though I heard nothing of what he spoke of." Iden smirked, knowing full well that Jamie had heard nothing. Still, being in the bunks was giving him cabin fever. He needed to get out of there, everything was so musky and dark, and the overwhelming scent of unbathed male permeated even the almost overwhelming scent of cloves that seemed to melt out of Iden's very pores.

He turned on his heel and began the trek upward, tapping his fingers at his side, the cigarette hanging precariously from his lip. Ahhh, fresh air, good ( ... )

Following Iden up to the deck she was greeted with a cool breeze. Smiling broader then she had all day she closed her eyes and took in the cold. Grinning over at Iden

"It defiantly is a beautiful night."

Noticing the barren deck Vivien was disappointed. She didnt want to be climbing around on deck in her condition but the last thing she wanted to do was sit around port any longer.

"Looks like we wont be leaving tonight like I had hoped we would."

Leaning against the deck Vivien inhaled deeply, enjoying the taste of the cloves. "It has been years since I have had a clove cigarette. Forgot how much I love them."
