((Ooohkay... so.. the ship has to launch we all know the truth of it. I'm going to start up a galley post and see if we can't get everyone back on the ship. "Hello there, long time no see. Are we leaving port soon, sure sounds like it with all the people running about."

"The workers have finished, it is all up to our Captain, now." he added, straightening the lay of his jacket, looking Vivien over. Certainly, there were quite a few females on board, which shocked him just a bit.
"I am Iden Truax, and you are?" he asked, advancing and extending his hand to her. His eyes caught a quick sight of Jamie and he turned his head to the side, giving the man a silent greeting with a smile.

She stood slowly, hiding a wince, and reached out and shake the mans hand, making sure to keep her claws from touching him.
"Ill be glad once we are away from port. Be nice to be out in the open again."

"Getting out of this port will do all some good, I think. This will be my first time spacing, it's quite exciting. Though, I confess, I may need someone to show me the ropes..." he winked at her. To anyone else, it may have looked like he was flirting, but he really had no interest in her. He had interest in Jamie. But still, if a female was around, Iden just could not turn it off. Often, he did not even realize he did it.

She glarred at the light and wished she had grabbed her glasses, to late now. She follwed the men with very little words and only answered questions when directly asked. Everyone seemed in bad spirts today...seemed they all just wanted to leave port.

Jamie looked at Iden and then made motion twards the helm.

"Oh, what a lovely view one must have from here!" Iden chirped, stepping up near the helm, behind Jamie. Vivien seemed less than thrilled to be out and about, and that gave Iden all the more reason to prolong the tour. He did not take well to moping, at least not without damn good reason.
"Speaking of the helm, which only I have done, I met the helmsman today. Rather large really, very intimidating. I suppose that would come in handy in certain situations."

"I dont know much of my species either, all I know Ive learned from history books and those are never accurate in my opinion. I would like to think my parents were adventures, but alas Ill never know."
Pulling her hair back over her face and scar she prepared to head up to the deck. She wanted as many of her bruises covered as possible. She didnt want anyone to take it easy on her. She would pull her own weight.

"Well, on the off chance that Jamie was not merely lying to us to get out of there, we should perhaps hit the decks. Though I heard nothing of what he spoke of." Iden smirked, knowing full well that Jamie had heard nothing. Still, being in the bunks was giving him cabin fever. He needed to get out of there, everything was so musky and dark, and the overwhelming scent of unbathed male permeated even the almost overwhelming scent of cloves that seemed to melt out of Iden's very pores.
He turned on his heel and began the trek upward, tapping his fingers at his side, the cigarette hanging precariously from his lip. Ahhh, fresh air, good ( ... )

"It defiantly is a beautiful night."
Noticing the barren deck Vivien was disappointed. She didnt want to be climbing around on deck in her condition but the last thing she wanted to do was sit around port any longer.
"Looks like we wont be leaving tonight like I had hoped we would."
Leaning against the deck Vivien inhaled deeply, enjoying the taste of the cloves. "It has been years since I have had a clove cigarette. Forgot how much I love them."
