If I go to college in the fall, what the hell do I need? It's been 10 years since I've been in school...I don't know shit.

Are laptops a requirement now?? Do I need um..pens and crap? Those stupid spiral notebooks? I'm totally clueless. Shit.

Unfortunately I have no clue. I've been wanting to go back to school too--but I'm always saying "next year" (ugh). Plus, even the simple crap that goes into going back starts to intimidate me. I'll do it though-- one of these days.
That's awesome that you're thinking of going back though.

The laptop thing: It seems every student now has a laptop, but I really think it'd be fine to go without one. It'd make things a hell of a lot simpler and convenient, but...

What classes are you thinking of taking?

Eh...I haven't really thought about it. My work will pay 75% of my fees if I choose a degree that's related to my field..so accounting of some sort probably. Business..I don't know.

I'm mostly worried about the English & math stuff though. It's been so long & I have no patience for crap like that.

I know what you mean about the intimidation though. That's exactly what's kept me from it for so long. I'm terrified.

Wow, almost free and everything? My dad's workplace offers the same thing- so he recently went back (had to put it on pause this year though since his company has them pay up front and they're later reimbursed). He had to make sure to get C's or above or else they wouldn't reimburse that semester.

Oh man, the math is certainly what I'm worried about too. Actually, it's probably number one on my list of things. Math is the reason I dropped out of high school two months shy of graduation.

Well, I'm sure if we get over the intimidation thing and give it a try (maybe start out with just a couple classes?) we'd be thrilled to be back in school. I'm slowly working on convincing myself to go back but I have to take my time, lol.

Yeah, my work is similar to that. I have to pay first..then they reimburse me. Plus, I have to stay with the company for 2 years after I graduate, or else I have to pay them back in full. =\

So yeah..pros & cons to that. Blah.

I have a laptop. But its really only a requirement for things like Graphic Design or heavy computer courses. And even if you did need one, some majors will specify which one to buy... so just wait on that.

you will need pens/pencils/notebook of some kind to write in.
