I haven't consistently weighed 120 lbs. since I was 14. I've recently been seeing that number on the scale on a consistent basis, and don't really know how to feel about it ( Read more... )

Katie and I were Weight Watchers buddies in law school and are going to meetings together again. It might not be your style, but if you're interested, you're welcome to come along to one and check it out. I'm still trying to figure out this whole "not having a weird, self-punishing relationship with food" thing.

I'm bad with group things like that. I just end up silently mocking others or beating up myself. Thanks for the offer, though.

I totally feel both of you on the "not having a weird, self-punishing relationship with food" thing. I don't know how to maintain---- every time I stop "watching out" (which is how I start losing weight), I ended up putting on weight again. This time, to the tune of 15 pounds. How do people become indifferent to food?! I think the only solution is to become a workout-a-holic if you want to stop monitoring food.
