I came across a jewel yesterday. A jewel that's not 20 minutes from my house. If you've never seen a Louisiana sky at sunset, here it is in stages, above Lake Martin.

Actually, being a Southerner and being a Coonass are two totally different things. I'm a Coonass. My husband is a Southerner. If you ask people from down here, anywhere north of I-10, you're really a Yankee. :)

I love being from where I'm from. There's so much culture. And...the food's great!

A coonass is someone from southwest Louisiana. Mainly, the area called Acadiana where the people exiled from Nova Scotia settled. NOT New Orleans, though. That's a whole different ball game. Not even Baton Rouge, really.

I had originally planned on getting tore up for this reception, but plans have changed. :(

My whole family is going to be there. Even aunts and uncles from around the country. I'm so excited! You and Robin and Abbey should just ride together so you don't have to take two cars. That'd just be silly.

or....if you were one of the weird pregnant women (i really hope you don't do this) you could have put a set of bunny ears on your belly. yeah....please please please never do that.

My chesse factor isn't that high. I refuse to even wear gay ass maternity clothes, like flower printed pants. That's just ridiculous.
