Had so much fun at the Yule Ball. Instead of typing it all out, I'll post all my pictures.
The day started off with Mariella picking me up around 11-ish, while both my parents were home (a rarity, seeing as how they're divorced) trying to find a flight to Chicago, in order to visit my brother, as he was flying to Africa for the Marines.
After a bit of driving, we get to the Middle East, only for there to be no parking close by. So we turn back around, and as we're driving past the venue again, a car pulls out, so we end up getting a spot right in front.
When I get in line, I notice a definite lack of any type of formal wear, so I decided that I didn't like my long skirt, and, since a long skirt wasn't conducive to rocking out anyways, walked to the Gap down the street to buy a jean skirt from there. For $48. That's how desperate I was. Luckily I was wearing my leggings that I usually wear under skirts, and leg warmers, so I felt more like myself.
From L-R, outside the Middle East, Eileen, Chris, Mariella, Amy, and Meg.
We were let inside, no problem, and easily got our spots set up in the front row. I walked around a bit, passed Paul, said hey to him, went back to my spot, and then decided to buy their Christmas CD. As I'm walking back to my spot, he sees me again, and says "Aren't you supposed to be in FL?" or something like that. I replied with something about how I came to see my family, as if it weren't really obvious that they weren't the whole reason I picked that particular week. And then he hands me this cassette tape, which they were throwing out to the crowd at the end of the show, and I walked back to my friends.
We were talking about my old myspace picture of my feet, and so Eileen showed us her lovely french manicured toes.
And now, here's everyone inside the Middle East. From L-R, Mariella, Meg, Chris, Eileen, and James, with Amy in the front.
This is me figuring out what one of the buttons on my camera means.
Potter Puppet Pals!
And again! They were awesome!
Alex from the Remus Lupins.
I seriously love this guy.
Paul and Joe while on their emcee duties. They look mad for some reason.
Meg with only half her face in light, even though the flash was on.
Meg with the flash off, and a weird strip of light across her face. My camera apparently does not like lighting Meg's entire face.
I always feel weird taking pictures when I'm in the front row, so I didn't take that many of H&tP's.
Harry Potter year 7 without a flash. It didn't come out that good, so I turned the flash back on.
Harry Potter year 4. It was actually really hard to get a good picture, because the microphone stands were always in the way.
Bill Weasley, during The Weasle. He always gets so mad during that song...
I guess I should point out, since I have no more pictures from the first show, that I was brought up onstage by Paul to play the bells. He said that they needed someone to help them for the next song, by playing the bells, and asked who would like to help. Then he was like "how about you?" to me. So I got onstage, and he was like "this is Virignia, she came up all the way from FL for this." I took this from someone else's lj. So many thanks to
unkickablekitty for the picture.
So after the first show, we went to the restaurant right upstairs. From L-R Chris, Meg, and James.
So then we went back downstairs, and got ourselves situated back in the spots we had before, right in the front row. I'm sure Paul and Joe were sick of seeing my face after the end of the show. :)
And then I noticed someone had put their scarf around the little light up Santa that was on the side of the stage.
Chris in her tiger hat.
The Remus Lupins. Seriously...he's so much fun in concert.
Then the Draco and the Malfoys took over.
And here they are in their nice cloaks.
Younger Draco is always jumping on older Draco.
See?
But now they're playing nice again.
Joe rocking out on the sax with Jason Anderson and the Best.
Harry Potter year 4 with a microphone stand cutting his face in half.
Harry Potter year 7 rocking out.
He turned right as I took this picture, and then my batteries died.
In other news, I want a new lj layout, but am too lazy to change it. I need new icons, too, seeing as how I only use about 3 of the ones I have right now.
