Plagiarism within Manga [Clamp, D.Gray Man, Nana and what not.]

As of late I've been having and hearing a lot of people bitch and moan to me about the issue of Katsura Hoshino's "D.Gray Man" plagiarizing Trigun and Death Note. A lot of people I know have being asking about my opinion on this issue.

I'm not in the DGM fandom, but damn, if you plagiarize (especially from popular mangas), do you really think you can get away with it? Like seriously? :/

At least plagiarize from an obscure manga if you're going to do it.

With D.grayman, while It's sad about the Trigun one(one of my faves), the Deathnote one looks like... it could almost be an accident. Unless it was admitted plagiarism.

lol Yes, I'd have to admit the Deathnote one doesn't look so bad. XD

The Trigun one is so obvious though. >> Pisses me off

I happened to come across this after I finished reading Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles by CLAMP and I was so shocked by the cowardly plagiarism of the Chinese publishing company. It's disturbing as well as eye-opening because not everyday are we reminded of the corrupt world we live in. It is such a shame to see plagiarism happen. I wonder how do people live knowing that they steal from others as well as in some ways their fame. I just can't believe that people would steal from people as great as CLAMP too and for them to deny an apology to them is just sad and cowardly. I am disappointed in the Chinese community, makes me ashamed of my own ethnicity.

I find it quite distressing myself. No one deserves to have their work stolen or ripped from them. There is no honour in it and it's just plain wrong!

I find the guy was very stupid to copy anything from CLAMP. Their popularity is enormous enough. >>
