I guess LiveJournal is slowly depopulating these days. No one hangs around these old haunts much anymore, and really even I only visit once in a blue moon. I'm not sure if it's that we've gotten older or just more distracted, but people don't seem to have enough attention span for this sort of medium, preferring to feed the Twitter or release a

I have the same sentiments about LJ. It's certainly not the cool hang-out spot for my social group like it was back in high school. But there really isn't a clear replacement for me since I don't like Facebook or Twitter.

I think the main reason I don't post as much anymore is that if I write about my life to some audience, I feel that the day has been recorded so there's no need to record it elsewhere. And lately, my audience has been my girlfriend, so LJ gets short shrift.

I'm not ready to give up on LJ but I do wish that there were more people still on here. I guess part of the problem is that we're all busier these days.
