I love Sherlock's inability to decapitate John. I mean, even Sherlock, or perhaps especially Sherlock, knows on some fundamental pre-logic level, that people don't survive decapitation, any evidence to the contrary.

The only episode of the original 60s show I've ever seen is one where they're trying to pair Wednesday up with a boy from a similar family that they're hoping she will grow up to marry, and Morticia and Grandma are giving her advice on how to catch a man. It was totally that 60's-whitebread-middle-America, done Addams-style.
