God damn i make one little joke which i now realize wasnt very funny now after i said it. One of those kind of things where you just say something that you dont mean and you dont intend on hurting anyones feelings but it turns out to be the totally wrong thing to say and you feel like a complete douche bag for saying it. It sucks when shit like

I swear I was going to post about people's ridiculous emotional interpretations to jokes earlier today. Doug's about as good as not my friend now, because I made 2 jokes in a row on his LJ, separated by a self-centered statement. But he doesn't exactly have control of my proverbial "house" so I guess it's not as bad.

But it reminded me of Rule #4 of the Subgenius which is concisely summed up "Fuck 'em if they can't take a joke."
