At first, Foreman thought Chase was there to unnvere them, but it soon became evident this wasn't a pissing contest. It was clear the Aussie had a lot on his mind and really was only here to know the outcome of the MRI. He hardly said anything to them and his eyes remained planted on the screens the whole time when he wasn't watching the images of Rob above head to make sure he was okay. There were no further blood clots in Rob's chest, which was a relief, but now they were onto the brain and even though working together was much like dejavu, they were all waiting for something to appear on those images to give them the answer.

"Stop, stop!" Cameron said, sitting forward in her chair. She pushed her glasses up onto her nose and leaned close to study the screen. "Oh my god. Look, there," she pointed to the middle screen, "left hemisphere of his cerebral cortex. It's a cerebral abcess. That's why he's been hallucinating."

Chase went over to the MRI console and reached between them to turn the screen up to him so he could see better. "Jesus effing Christ," he cursed with a gasp. "And the seizures. House was right. It is bacterial, and he's going to need a surgical drainage. Shit." He rubbed his hand over his mouth, now closely examining the series of images spreading across the screen for any other lesions but before he could catch anything, there was a warning beep from the machines as Rob's heartbeat spiked ( ... )
