The only thing that really tarnished it was the fact she couldn't share any of it with her Mom. She was so used to being able to call Lorelai, or see her, that Rory was lost without that connection to her mother. To her best friend.
She pulled up short just as she was about to bump into someone, and it took Rory a couple of moments to realise the woman in the Cookie Monster pyjamas was all too familiar. "Mom?!"
