[OTA] Later That Night [tag Faith]

Wesley sipped his scotch and wondered why he was here. He took another sip. Oh, yes, Faith had threatened to kick his arse if he didn't get out of his room. He didn't see anything wrong with his room, or with how he had been spending his vacation, but obviously Faith did, and he didn't feel like going three rounds with her just to prove his point. Faith wasn't entirely sure why she'd been such a pushy bitch about getting Wes out of his room. Which, ok, might have been a lie. A fast way to go insane in a place like this was to isolate yourself and sink into some black hole of absolute nothing. Wesley looked up when Faith sat down next to him and blinked when she jostled him. Gunn had done that, on occasion, but he'd never quite figure out what the correct response was.

"I wasn't about to cry," he replied dryly. "Nor do I wish you dead. Possibly temporarily incapacitated so I could go back to my room," I admit with the hint of a smile. It was meant as a joke, and he knew things are probably still awkward between them, but he did hope it came across as a joke.

Faith smiled at the joke. "Too bad, killer. I pulled your antisocial bullshit card for the evening. You're my entertainment tonight. I woulda been bored otherwise and that's like distress. Your British programming means you gotta come to the rescue or whatever the hell it is the gentleman types are supposed to do."

She signaled to the bartender and ordered a beer. "So where you workin'?"

An incredulous semi-smile made its way onto Wesley's face at Faith's descriptor. Damsel in distress, really.

"The library," he answered, and in anticipation of hr response added, "And I'm well aware that's entirely cliche for a British Watcher. I don't really have a varied skill set applicable to too many occupations."
