When the days turned into weeks on the island, Matt realised that maybe being deluded was a waste of time. Captain John is standing by the notice board as well, pondering over the job possibilities. He's been here a few weeks himself and despite having Jack just a door away he's still not getting much action.

But heeey a fine looking gentleman has just strolled up next to him. "Hey there."

Matt glanced in the direction of the voice, not sure he was the one being addressed at first. When he was about to turn back to the noticeboard, the penny finally did drop that it was him. "Oh, hey," he greeted the man with a polite smile. He gestured to the board. "Any suggestions how to waste a few hours?"

Indeed he is! John's new to the island, and is currently in the market for a job here himself.

"Oh I have aaall sorts of suggestions," he gives Matt a wink. "A lot of which aren't legal, I'm sure."

Matt's eyebrows shot up and he laughed a little. "Well, I'd have to advise against that, sir. Ethically." It wasn't like he actually worked for the law enforcement here, and he had a sneaking suspicion it was a little more lax than he was used to back home. The island was hardly going to have the crime stats London did.
