I e-mailed my local library to question them about the absence of  bike racks at our new facility.  I got the typical blah, blah, blah response. Then at the bottom of the correspondence was this statement:

-I just returned from a 5 day trip in the GSMNP on the Benton MacKaye Trail, with a buddy. I wanted to shake down some new gear for my hike next year, and figured that this 63-miler would be a good choice.

I've recently participated in my 4th Cycle North Carolina, from West Jefferson to Currituck on the Outer Banks. I'm working on the journal now. I'll add a link when I publish it.

 -The Trouts decided to hire a house painter, the oven died, and the Direct TV got hot by lightning.  I'll be glad to see September. The house looks good, it needed painting. I'm getting everything in order for my AT hike, next year.

-Bele Chere was last weekend and we spent all three days seeing an assortment of music.
