went to play hockey last sunday! i'm still a little sore from it x_x it was fun even though i suck and i felt really bad for dragging their game down XD i got totally bowled over once and almost went down a second time if one of the guys didn't grab me before gravity took over XD you could tell they were taking it easy on me (and i was absolutely not a threat to them) since i was "floating" as an extra on the black team for the whole game.
went drinking afterwards, i was anti-social as always but it was still fun. the street was full of izakaya stands and even though i stayed in the asakusa area last summer i never really ventured there. i think i'll spend a weekend walking around that area. they had some kinda festival or special even happening at the temple... i think? there were fruit stands though so i will have a look to see if the fruits are cheap~
the most hilarious part of playing hockey that day was the fact it was in the middle of asakusa... which is like this traditional/old area of tokyo XD as in there's a big temple nearby, most people go there and take the rickshaw ride to see the sights of "old" tokyo... but instead they see a bunch of foreign guys (and girl!) playing hockey on the tennis court instead XD we were actually drawing quite a crowd by the end of the day, the guys were playing full court and they were really going at it!
can't go to hockey this sunday though, there's a design event i have to go record for owner XD and then the week after we're going to hakone... oh well, it'll give my muscles time to recover? XD
had the cutest pudding today! they were a gift from a past client to celebrate the new name for the studio. they were in little glass bottles with cow spots since it's made from milk XD i hope the bottle doesn't break when i bring it home! they had a plastic cap for it but i think it'd look even better with a big fat cork (which i can totally find at tokyu hands!)
we've been going to pariya a lot lately. they have really good food and during lunch you can get a set meal for like 1000yen! that's a pretty good deal since you have unlimited drinks and soup, a bowl of rice, one main, one salad and one side! and they change their menu pretty frequently so there's always new stuff to try :9 they also have a gelato selection and for an extra 100yen or something you can get a regular size gelato to finish off your meal! but the big bowl of rice and all the other stuff is usually more than enough so we've only did the gelato thing once XD and even then, it was shared!
wth is up with the weather in tokyo!?! it's almost october and today it's still in the 30s! x_x i should poke through my yokohama, kamakura and ennoshima pics for posting!
