mon plaisier photoshoot
i was at a photoshoot for a patisserie today! i think you (rikkumaru) would've been impressed with their stuff, it smelled so nice all day (not that the stuff smelling good would make you impressed, they also tasted good and looked really nice too XD)! we got treated to pastries too~~
it was really cool seeing a "professional" set-up, especially since when i did lighting at humber, we generally didn't do the whole building a softbox around said object to have very diffused and even lighting. it was also gratifying to know that taking forever to get that perfect shot isn't just me being incompetent, it really does take a while XD we arrived at 2 (after driving like 2 hours to get to the place in saitama) and we left at 7! we shot 6 cakes and 3 product shots in total, got treated to mini apple pie things and a box full of cake to take home and then owner treated me to vietnamese since we got back to shibuya at like 9~ all in all, a very long but fun day!
i think i might be able to take my cousin up on her offer of doing photoshooting for her, but i'd really want to invest in some ghetto gear. definitely at least another flash so i can do softbox type lighting (i'm assuming that's the type she'd want since she's selling product). she's been trying to bribe my sister with offers of a mac to work on if she goes up to shanghai (though i doubt she's offering to *give* her a mac), i wonder if i'll get bribed with camera gear XD but since the point of me going to HK is to get my go home card, i don't really want to make a trip until i have the card (visas can be a pain to get, especially in china =_=) and i don't have *that* much time or money to make a trip just for her photos. if she's willing to send the stuff to HK though~ i wouldn't mind picking up a cheap flash in HK to do work!
oh bbc~~ <333 why do you make such crack? merlin has the "quest" series where it's more or less colin and bradley being stupid and silly and cracking me up XD i swear my roomies will be glad when i move out since i keep bursting into loud, badly muffled laughter in the middle of night (though i treated them all to cake so i should have some leeway tonight?)
i wish i could find the audio commentary though, i actually quite like listening to them for stargate (at least when i knew beforehand there was interesting to listen for anyways XD) and the merlin ones sounded really hilarious~~
